Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer, Backend (4–5 years experience) to work on real production systems powering a GPU infrastructure platform: APIs, scheduling logic, billing pipelines, and provisioning flows. The role requires solid backend fundamentals and genuine curiosity about agentic development workflows, working alongside senior engineers who will push your thinking on architecture, observability, and scale. The ideal candidate takes ownership of what they ship, asks good questions without needing hand-holding, and moves fast to close knowledge gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship real backend systems: APIs, scheduling logic, billing pipelines, and provisioning flows running in production.
- Take ownership of the correctness and quality of what you ship, not just feature completion.
- Work alongside senior engineers to strengthen architecture, observability, and scale thinking.
- Use AI tools actively as part of your development workflow, and grow your fluency with agentic development over time.
- Make calls under ambiguity, check in with the team, and keep moving rather than waiting for a fully specced brief.
- Build systems others can rely on, with a focus on correctness at production scale.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of backend engineering experience, with time at a product company or startup.
- Golang experience, with comfort writing in it and a growing set of opinions about it.
- Solid fundamentals in concurrency, APIs, and data persistence; exposure to distributed systems concepts is a plus.
- Some experience with cloud-native tooling such as Kubernetes, containers, or similar.
- Active use of AI tools in your development workflow (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar), with genuine curiosity about agentic development.
- Degree from a tier 1 or tier 2 engineering institution.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to distributed systems concepts such as consistency, fault tolerance, or concurrency at scale.
- Interest in going deeper on agentic development workflows beyond current usage.
- Experience working on systems that require observability and production-grade correctness.
