Field Marketing Manager

Full-Time
San Francisco, US

About Hosted.ai

‍
Hosted.ai is the GPU Commerce Platform. Our software runs on any GPU site and connects it to a federated network, and we bring the demand that fills it through three channels: token-based inference, short- and long-term GPU capacity, and a partner portal. Operators keep their land, power, hardware, financing, and operations. We help them turn that capacity into revenue.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Field Marketing Manager who can host a dinner for twenty senior AI leaders on a Tuesday and tell you on Wednesday which three of them are now real opportunities.

This isn't a trade-show logistics role, and it isn't a brand awareness role. You will design and run the in-person programs that put hosted.ai in front of the people who buy and supply GPU compute: AI labs and AI-native companies in San Francisco, enterprise AI and platform teams down the Peninsula, and the operators, neoclouds, and data center owners around Santa Clara and San Jose who run our software or should be.

The events are the means, not the end. What you're building is pipeline the sales team can trace back to the room: named accounts, booked meetings, and deals that moved because the right people met at the right time.

If turning a back room in SoMa into the conversation everyone in AI infrastructure wants an invite to sounds like fun, this role was written for you.

What You'll Own

Events & Executive Programs (50% of your time)

  • Own the Bay Area field calendar: hosted executive dinners, technical roundtables, practitioner meetups, and a short, deliberate list of third-party events where we speak, host a side event, or book meetings.
  • Run every program end to end yourself. Guest list, invitations, venue, run of show, on-site, and follow-up within 48 hours. Every event gets an agreed goal before it happens.
  • Lead our presence at NVIDIA GTC 2027 in San Jose (March 14 to 18) and at the other Bay Area moments that matter for AI infrastructure, such as AI Infra Summit, OCP Global Summit, PyTorch Conference, and SF Tech Week. For us, side events, dinners, and pre-booked meetings usually beat a booth.
  • Design formats for both sides of our market. Operators and capacity owners on the supply side, AI teams buying compute and inference on the demand side. Some of the best rooms have both.
  • Move when the market does. When capacity frees up across the network, help sales put it in front of the right buyers within days through a quick dinner or a targeted invite list.

Account & Pipeline Alignment

  • Build guest lists with sales, account by account and title by title: CTO, VP Engineering, Head of ML, Head of Infrastructure, and the finance and procurement leaders who sign capacity commitments.
  • Work from our target account list in Pipedrive, enrich it with Apollo, and keep event data clean so every attendee turns into trackable follow-up.
  • Sit in on pipeline reviews and plan programs around the deals that need a push, not just the ones that look good on a slide.

Partner & Ecosystem Marketing

  • Co-host with partners: operators on our platform, NVIDIA ecosystem partners, and VC platform teams who want better compute access for their portfolio companies.
  • Earn a place in the Bay Area AI community. Know the meetup hosts, venues, accelerators, and organizers, and become someone they want to work with.

Content from the Field

  • Turn every event into something we can use afterwards: speaker clips, photos, short recaps, LinkedIn posts, and events page updates, working with our marketing team in Bangalore.
  • Bring the market back to us. What attendees ask about, which GPUs they cannot get, and what pricing they are hearing elsewhere.

Measurement & Budget

  • Track registrations, attendance, show rate, meetings booked, sourced and influenced pipeline, and stage progression in Pipedrive.
  • Own the field budget and the vendors behind it (venues, catering, AV, print, swag), and keep cost per meeting and cost per opportunity honest.
  • Write a short report after every program, including what you would change next time.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B field, event, or regional marketing experience at a technology company, with at least part of it in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • You have run events end to end yourself, including executive dinners or roundtables for VP and C-level technical audiences. Be ready to walk us through three or four: audience, format, budget, who showed up, and what pipeline came out of them.
  • Experience marketing to technical buyers in AI, cloud infrastructure, data, or developer tools. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to talk with a Head of ML about why they can't get H100s or B200s, or how training capacity differs from inference, and know when to pull in someone more technical.
  • A working Bay Area network: venues, community organizers, meetup hosts, event agencies, and ideally people at AI labs, AI-native startups, and VC platform teams.
  • CRM discipline. You have tracked events through to pipeline in Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive, and you can show the numbers.
  • Comfortable with the everyday tools of the job, such as Luma for events, Apollo or similar for list building, and Canva or Figma for invitations and signage.
  • Sharp writing. Invitations, follow-ups, and recaps that read like a person wrote them, because a person did.
  • Startup-ready: self-directed, happy without a playbook, and fine with evening and occasional weekend work around events.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the right to work in the United States. Expect 15 to 25% travel beyond the Bay Area, for example to New York, Seattle, and Austin, and to national conferences such as AWS re:Invent and Supercomputing (SC).

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a GPU cloud, neocloud, or AI infrastructure company (CoreWeave, Lambda, Crusoe, Together AI, Nebius, or similar).
  • Hackathons, developer meetups, or community programs you built or grew.
  • Co-marketing with NVIDIA, hyperscalers, or data center partners.
  • Some familiarity with data center and capacity conversations: power, colocation, reserved capacity, and offtake.
  • Time as the first or only marketer in a region.
  • Worked at a Seed or Series A stage company before.

Why Join Us?

  • Greenfield. You're our first field marketer in the Bay Area. You build the playbook rather than inherit one.
  • Stage. We've closed our Seed round and have real runway, real customers, and real revenue, and the decisions that shape the company are still in front of us.
  • Front row on AI infrastructure. The Bay Area is where the biggest compute decisions get made, and you'll be in those rooms.
  • Direct line to leadership. You report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with sales and the founding team. Your work is visible to the people running the company.
  • Equity. Meaningful equity at Seed-stage economics.

How to Apply

Send your resume and a short note on one field program you ran recently: who it was for, the format, the budget, how many of the right people showed up, what pipeline it produced, and what you would do differently.
